Before you buy

  • Ask whether it’s solid wood throughout, and how the legs join the seat. What good joinery looks like.
  • Ask what finish is used and how to maintain it. Oil versus film finishes.
  • For made-to-order pieces, confirm the lead time, deposit and whether the order can be cancelled.
  • Check delivery method and your doorways before ordering. What to expect.
